Mayores conectad@s: digital inclusion and access-to-services programme through ICT for older adults
The Mayores Conectad@s project: a digital inclusion and access-to-services programme through ICT for older adults is an initiative aimed at promoting digital inclusion, access to services, and social participation among older adults. The programme promotes the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) as a tool to improve personal autonomy, facilitate the management of administrative procedures, and reduce the digital divide, especially in rural areas where in-person access to certain services may be more limited.
The programme’s target population consists of people over 60 years of age, especially those who have difficulties using digital tools, limitations in access to administrative services, or are at risk of digital exclusion. Overall, through these actions, the programme seeks to help reduce the digital divide, strengthen older adults’ personal autonomy, and facilitate their access to rights, resources, and services, promoting a more inclusive, connected society that is adapted to an ageing population.
