Racism-Free Classrooms: Awareness and Promotion of Equality - 2026

The Racism-Free Classrooms: Awareness and Promotion of Equality program aims to contribute to the early prevention and eradication of discrimination and racist and/or xenophobic hate crimes during childhood and adolescence in the Valencian Community, through awareness-raising actions that foster equal treatment, respect for diversity, and intercultural coexistence.

To this end, the program develops educational and awareness-raising actions through participatory workshops adapted to each age group. The program promotes the identification and understanding of discriminatory situations present in the students’ daily environments, as well as the development of empathetic attitudes, critical thinking, and skills for coexistence in diversity. Furthermore, the program incorporates a social media awareness strategy based on the dissemination of messages and materials in favor of equality and non-discrimination.

As part of the process, an intercultural conference for the exchange of experiences will be held, designed as a space for meeting and mutual learning among students, teachers, families, and social entities.

This project, based on the principles of equality, diversity, gender perspective, intersectionality, and non-discrimination, seeks to strengthen the prevention of racism and xenophobia within educational and community spheres, promoting environments that are more inclusive, respectful, and committed to cultural diversity.
