Equal Treatment and Professional Recognition: Awareness and Action for the Integration of Qualified People in Spain
The project “Equal Treatment and Professional Recognition: Awareness and Action for the Integration of Qualified People in Spain”, funded by the First Vice-Presidency and the Regional Ministry of Social Services, Equality and Housing of the Generalitat Valenciana, aims to promote equal treatment and non-discrimination in the recognition of foreign qualifications in Spain by raising awareness among public officials and the general public about this issue, while addressing the social and labour exclusion faced by qualified migrants, Spanish nationals and European citizens.
The programme includes dissemination activities through awareness campaigns and educational materials; advocacy and awareness-raising actions through workshops, seminars and meetings with social stakeholders; and research carried out in the Valencian Community on the barriers affecting the recognition and validation of foreign qualifications.
The project will conclude with a results presentation event, where findings and recommendations will be shared in order to move towards a fairer and more inclusive recognition of professional qualifications.
Through these actions, the project seeks to promote the social and labour integration of qualified people in Spain, contributing to a more equal, diverse and inclusive society that respects the professional and human rights of all people.
