Building Societies Free from Violence Against First and Second-Generation Migrant Women, an Intersectional Perspective: Gender, Origin, and Social Class – Continuity 2026
The project ‘Building societies free from violence against first and second-generation migrant women, an intersectional perspective’ aims to contribute to the prevention, detection, and addressing of various forms of violence against migrant women, incorporating an intersectional perspective that considers gender, origin, and structural inequalities, with special attention to digital violence.
The program is developed from a participatory and community-based approach, promoting the active involvement of migrant women themselves in identifying needs, collective reflection, and building responses adapted to their realities. It also fosters networking and coordination with organizations and social agents as key elements for violence prevention and social awareness.
Among the main actions of the project are the organization of intersectoral dialogue tables, the participatory creation of educational materials and pedagogical tools, the development of empowerment and reflection spaces, and the launch of a social innovation laboratory aimed at preventing violence against migrant women, especially in digital environments.
Overall, the program seeks to raise awareness of the issue of violence against migrant women and promote values of equality, diversity, respect, and coexistence in the various intervention territories.
