Back Home. Assisted Voluntary Return Project - 2026.

The program “Back Home: Assisted Voluntary Return Project” aims to ensure a dignified and guaranteed return for individuals at risk of social exclusion and in a situation of particular vulnerability. To this end, the program offers an individualized pathway that includes guidance and support throughout the process, financial reintegration assistance, and the return ticket to the country of origin.

The program is carried out from the offices in Madrid, Valencia, and Barcelona.
Program access requirements
Foreign nationals of Latin American nationality who do not possess Spanish nationality or that of any European Union country, and who meet at least one of the following conditions, may access the program:

• Latin American nationals with non-EU residency (NIE)
• Latin American nationals in an irregular administrative situation, with a minimum stay of 3 months in Spain.

Additionally, they must meet the following requirements:
• Have a Latin American country as their return destination.
• Not possess an invitation letter at the time of entry into European territory.
• Not be subject to any of the prohibitions on leaving Spain provided for in immigration legislation.

The program offers:
• Personalized guidance and information during the process
• Payment of the airline ticket
• Financial resettlement assistance of 400 euros
• Travel allowance of 50 euros

This program is subsidized by the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, through the Secretary of State for Migration and the General Sub-directorate for Economic Management, European Funds and Procurement, and co-financed by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) of the European Union.

Target population:

Foreign nationals of Latin American nationality who do not possess Spanish nationality or that of any European Union country, and who meet at least one of the requirements mentioned in the general section, may access the program.
