Learning to Decide aims to prevent and combat violence against women, as well as address the underlying social inequalities that contribute to its persistence. <\/p>\n
The initiative is aimed at women in vulnerable situations who reside in the city of Valencia and are registered as job seekers with LABORA, with the goal of strengthening their personal, social, and employment autonomy.<\/p>\n
The main actions of the project include:
\n\u2022 Group workshops on gender, cultural diversity, and intersectionality, as well as self-care workshops and the creation of mutual support networks.
\n\u2022 Awareness campaign on the occasion of November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
\n\u2022 Training for social and employment integration, through two 60-hour courses: retail sales assistant and bakery sales assistant, both with non-employment professional internships in companies in the sector.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the project incorporates a Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Course applied to Active Job Search (AJS), and a module on women’s entrepreneurship: innovation and empowerment in the digital era, aimed at promoting self-employment.<\/p>\n
All these actions are aimed at strengthening the personal, professional, economic, and digital capacities of women in particularly vulnerable contexts, promoting their empowerment and facilitating their access to social and employment opportunities under equal conditions.<\/p>\n
This program is funded by the Valencia City Council, under the Department of Social Services.
